The GBCTA has kicked off the 2019 trail season by hosting 2 crew leader training sessions out in West Bragg Creek. This is the first year that a coalition of 6 trails groups have come together for training in an attempt to standardize trail building and manage crew dynamics. There is also a strong workplace health and safety message woven through the days activities.
Once training is complete the Kananaskis Trail Coalition will add 55 new trail crew leaders who will help lead volunteer trail days in the region.
