Hey skiers! Ever been skiing down a hill only to be thwacked in the face by an alder branch encroaching on the ski trail?  Alder – yuch…

This is a lighter work day on ski trails that involves chucking into the woods alder that has been cut with a brushing machine by crew leads.

The immediate reward comes with the pleasant company of fellow ‘chuckers’ . The ultimate reward comes during your next ski – no more thwack!
