The snow drought continues at West Bragg Creek.  The only real snowfall of the season was way back in mid-November.  Remarkably, that two month old snow is still on the ground on many of our trails.  The single track trails are a mix of firmly packed snow, ice patches and bare ground.  Studded tires and traction devices are recommended.  There is really not enough snow for snowshoes, but hiking, trail running and fat-biking conditions are great.

The ski trails were roller packed in November. This left a consistent, firm snow base that is remains too shallow for track setting.  Volunteers have been harvesting and moving snow around to maintain a base, in preparation for the next snowfall.  The core Crystal Line trails are skiable, but conditions are marginal to poor.

The weather is forecast to continue to be largely snow-free to the end of January, so trail conditions are expected to remain unchanged until February.
