It has been more than two months since the only real snowfall of the season at West Bragg Creek. Remarkably, some of that old snow base still remains on many of the sheltered trails, although it has gone through many melt-freeze cycles since November.

The single track trails are a mix of hard packed snow or ice patches in shaded areas, to dry dirt on ridge tops and south facing slopes.  Studded tires and traction devices are recommended.  There is not enough snow for snowshoes, but hiking, trail running and biking conditions are very good.

The ski trails were roller packed in November.  There is a consistent, firm snow base on the core Crystal Line-Sundog-Loggers trails, but it remains too thin for track setting or renovating. Volunteers have been harvesting and moving snow to maintain a snow base on those core trails, but conditions are marginal to poor.  The longer, more sun exposed trails have bare ground and very icy sections and those trails are not recommended for skiing.

There is virtually no snow in the 14 day forecast, so you can expect conditions to remain about the same into February.
