Well, after much experimentation and a good deal of time spent 35 ft in the air aboard a cherry picker, BCT volunteers managed to raise and re point our cellular antenna and reconfigure some other bits of hardware and software enough to reestablish our cellular and internet signals.
This means the 911 hot spot, our webcams and BCT weather station are again functioning. Merchandise transactions at the Trails Centre are now smoother. Given the deep fringe nature of our connection, there will likely be more disruptions and some dropped webcam images. Hopefully this will improve in the spring of 2022 when Starlink comes to our area.
Big thanks to David Cebuliak, Russ Innes, Josh Leung, and Geoff Ryder for helping with the installation and to Justin at Walsh Equipment for the lift rental.
