The GBCTA is collaborating with other local trail building groups in efforts to promote improved workplace safety and standardized trail building techniques in the region. Trail Crew Leader training sessions are scheduled at the West Bragg Creek Maintenance Compound on May 25 and June 1. There are also two evening sessions scheduled in Canmore on May 21 and 28.
Last year’s training in Canmore was a big success for us as an organization as we build a culture of safety which includes standardized training. The course leans heavily towards OH&S as we all need to be able to evaluate the hazards of our day to day operations.
