ERIC LLOYD

Eric was recently awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for his achievements and contribution to trail work.  Goodness knows, if we sang the praises of his commitment and hard work over the decades, we’d lose our voices pretty quickly.  Here is a brief synopsis:

Eric began working with BCT back in about 2004 when the organization took root as The Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association.  He resonated with the goals of connecting community to nature through building and maintaining non- motorized pathways.  Soon Eric was at the centre of each and every major project taken on by the association.  This began with the Community Trails Network, then expanded westward to include the TransCanada Trail, as well as the vast Kananaskis Trails Network in WBC that so many of us enjoy.

Most would agree that there is no better project manager, fundraiser, diplomat and cat herder than our Eric Lloyd. Eric is the heartbeat of BCT.  He has raised literally millions of dollars for our trails network.  It is no exaggeration to say that without Eric’s involvement, the TCT in WBC would never have been completed.  The same goes for the ski trails redevelopment and the world class biking, hiking, snow-shoeing, trail running and equestrian network that is the pride of so many users.

Way to go Eric – BCT couldn’t have done it without you!
